Portsmouth could refer to any of the following:

• A city in Virginia. I'll be dipped if Uncyclopedia has an article on it. The closest we come is Northern Virginia, if the reader doesn't mind that Portsmouth is instead in the East. Or Battle of Hampton Roads.
• A city in Hampshire. There is an article on that.
• A city in New Hampshire, which is newer, and of the many New Hampshire municipalities, one of the rare ones that takes its name from a city in Hampshire. Nope, no article. Write one, and you will be the first. Until it gets deleted.

All these Portsmouths are ports at the mouth of a notable river, or else at least named after such a seaport.
