  1. Symbol for vote.svg Self-nom and For If you don't know what the article is talking about, you can read the play "A Number" by Caryl Churchill. It will take you twenty minutes only. Thanks to V V I P for his collaboration. Anton (talk) 18:05, June 28, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Symbol for vote.svg "Half-Self-nom" and For. The article contains the serious mood that the original book portrays with a slight twist of the Uncyclopedian humour. As Anton said, please read the book before judging this article. Props to Anton who created and gave me motivations to finish an article! Laurels.gifV V I P ® 18:36, June 28, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Symbol for vote.svg For. I love a good parody and despite not having seen the real play, I appreciate a good parody when I see one. Sir ScottPat (talk) White Ensign.gif Scotland Flag 1.png Compassrose.gif VFH UnS NotM WotM WotY 20:30, July 14, 2013 (UTC)
Against: 1
  1. Symbol against vote.svg Against putting on the main page an article that puts a duty on the reader. I am not "judging this article" nor implying it doesn't belong on the website. Spıke Ѧ 15:05 29-Jun-13

  • I'm glad the top line explains the joke, because otherwise I don't get it. No, I am neither going to read a book nor attend the theater as a prerequisite to reading the Uncyclopedia main page. Spıke Ѧ 20:34 28-Jun-13
Well, than read a Wikipedia article on it. The point is that in the play, there is almost no ponctuation, capital letters at the beginning of the sentences and during a dialogue some people do not finish their thoughts, etc. Anton (talk) 14:59, June 29, 2013 (UTC)
Do you know Caryl Churchill at least? Anton (talk) 19:02, June 29, 2013 (UTC)
I haven't a clue. Do you claim that the casual visitor to our main page does? Spıke Ѧ 13:59 1-Jul-13
She considered to be one of the best modern playwrights. Anton (talk) 14:06, July 1, 2013 (UTC)
  • Abstain. It's original but sure it works for me as a feature. Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 13:29, July 1, 2013 (UTC)
  • The point is that we put as much duty on the reader, as, for example, the Emu War, as some people may not know what it was. Or American football (just joking) Anton (talk) 13:44, July 1, 2013 (UTC)
I think in order to fully understand the concept of the joke one needs read the books. For example, the article "Catcher in the Rye" overuses Holden's favourite words such as "goddamn" and "phony". If the reader haven't read the books one would be laughing at a plethora of curses, not the inside joke. Laurels.gifV V I P ® 21:09, July 1, 2013 (UTC)V V I P
  • Symbol neutral vote.svg Abstain. It requires a wikipedia link as I as a reader reading this would not be bothered to read it but may be bothered to read link. Sometimes these type of articles work, Anton. Even if you didn't know about the real Emu War the article makes sense without it. It just has to be famous enough to get the joke. I personally think my UnScripts:Our Town is a decent article however unless you have read it (and please don't read the real play seriously, it will bore your mind) it doesn't work hence why I would not consider featuring it. Your article works as an Uncyclopedia article (I think as I haven't read the play, please link something) but not famous enough for the feature, sorry. It has a link already. Anton (talk) 12:06, July 9, 2013 (UTC)
So it does, my bad. I gather the formatting is a deliberate joke on "Modern Art" along with the absense of question marks. I think it works quite well but needs a bit more content and a bit more humour, also it needs to be an UnScripts, then I shall vote. Mock lots of aspects of the play not just the formatting and one of the actors. It is a good article when you get the big joke but needs more to feature it. Sir ScottPat (talk) White Ensign.gif Scotland Flag 1.png Compassrose.gif VFH UnS NotM WotM WotY 17:32, July 9, 2013 (UTC)
Then I will work a bit more on it. Anton (talk) 06:49, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
I did. I added a section where I mocked the author and made the text a little more legible using commas and question marks (although the play itself almost does not have any). Anton (talk) 16:22, July 12, 2013 (UTC)
  • If it was a deliberate parody please do not add punctuation. Still needs to be UnScripts before I vote. Sorry to be picky. Sir ScottPat (talk) White Ensign.gif Scotland Flag 1.png Compassrose.gif VFH UnS NotM WotM WotY 16:56, July 12, 2013 (UTC)
  • I spent twenty minutes adding all the scripts formatting and I almost cannot type anymore. Is it fine now or should I move it back? Anton (talk) 20:15, July 12, 2013 (UTC)
