Rename it[edit]

Apart from the problems noted by template in this article, the title of the page is a pun, which the reader has to guess before he can call up the page to read the pun! I suggest that you change the page name to Order of the Illuminati (to avoid walking on our existing, good article on Illuminati). (See also our I Can't Believe It's Not The Illuminati.)

Separately, the style here is what we call "Randumbo." At this date, it's mostly random things thrown out in an attempt to be offbeat. Our anonymous author should read Wikipedia's article on WP:Illuminati and present that information here, misinterpreted of course. Spıke Ѧ 18:01 29-Jan-13

Thanks for the tips! I've only recently tried to misrepresent facts from the Illuminati wiki page. I'll add more in. I wonder, though. If I change the title to Order of the Illuminati, what's the best way to introduce the pun? 173.253.203.121 18:25, January 29, 2013 (UTC)

And thank you for the reply, and I hope you pick a user name (so I'll know what to call you) and stick around! You need not introduce the pun at all. You need not change anything about the page. You can start the page with {{Title|Order of the Illumigetti}} and that will be what the page comes up as; then just dig in. See my El Salvador (which announces itself as "El Humidor"--although I don't stick with the pun throughout the page) for an example. The issue is not what the page says it is; only what you force the user to type to gain access to it. (I would spell it Illumighetti, as I spell it spaghetti.) Spıke Ѧ 19:31 29-Jan-13

Oh, I almost forgot to ask you how you got your El Humidor article to do that? Pastacarlo (talk) 06:32, January 30, 2013 (UTC)
{{Title}} is your winner. Like {{Title|some title}} on this page.                               Puppy's talk page07:54 30 Jan

PS--I see you are Pastacarlo and have met Romartus. If you had been logged in, I would have sent this suggestion to your talk page, where it is easier for you to notice it. Also, people in general are less suspicious of changes made by a registered user than those of Mr. I.P. Anon. Spıke Ѧ 19:57 29-Jan-13

Ah, I'll try to remember to sign in. And yes, I do plan to change it to Illumighetti. I removed the H for reasons stated in the "Letter H" section of the page, but I've decided to revise and remove that section anyway. Pastacarlo (talk) 23:47, January 29, 2013 (UTC)

Sounds wise. Making a mistake (or just a change of strategy) and then devoting sentences to rationalizing it gives your reader an unfortunate chance to wake up and realize that (whispers) this isn't a real encyclopedia, in which none of that would be taking place. Spıke Ѧ 23:56 29-Jan-13

PS--Now I see where you're going with this article and I take back my "random" complaint. Still, one good pun won't sustain the entire article and it would be nice if the information also dovetails with facts about the real Illuminati. Spıke Ѧ 00:17 30-Jan-13
