Talk:Randy Travis

For those who don't know, Randy Travis is a real person, and one of the most popular Country Music singers to date over the last 30 years. After the divorce from his wife, Elizabeth Hatcher, in 2010 (a little later than the fiction I've provided in the article), his personal life has taken a downhill turn in the fact that he's been arrested at least a couple different times on DUI charges, and even walked into a convenience store completely naked one day, ordering a pack of cigarettes. Then leaving upon the realization that he didn't have any money with him to pay for the cigarettes. All of these incidents combined, along with an inside joke with a few friends about Randy's character over the last year or so, have culminated and led to the creation of this article. I plan on sporadically editing it, and adding in more and more little tidbits over time as they come to me. Naturally, being Uncyclopedia, a free to edit platform for all who read this, there is a very real possibility I could come on tomorrow and this will be an entirely different article, or the article may even cease to exist one day. But while it remains, so does my course of action. Thank you guys for reading it, and for those who may have followed my previous articles over the years, thank you for reading those as well.

  1. But it was Randy Newman who sang, "Beware, beware, beware of the naked man."
  2. Did Travis tell the shopkeeper, "My mistake, my wallet is in my other slacks"? Spıke Ѧ 02:19 18-Jan-15
PS--In my opinion, putting "an inside joke with a few friends" into an Uncyclopedia article is putting noise into the article to everyone not in-the-know. Separately, the article would be better without the Discography and Filmography, which beat a single joke into the reader. You use fake album titles well in the paragraphs above; no need for long lists in addition. Spıke Ѧ 02:23 18-Jan-15
I've included this in the list of recent new articles on the main page. By the way, unless the knowledgeable reader (not me) knows exactly what you are getting at with "Randy Bruce Travis Randall Traywick", don't start your article with this long list or the long list that follows it in the intro. It gives the first impression that it will be a harder read than it is worth. Spıke Ѧ 02:46 18-Jan-15
