  1. Symbol for vote.svg SlfNom & Yay! The Britainy Spear has a stomach capacity of thirty gallons, just about the same as a Hummer-2. It can see people swimming from seven miles away, and gets to them before they can see it coming, which is no doubt an irritant. This page has a pee review, although the reviewer was later eaten by the Spear. Aleister 15:26 16-5-'11

Shabidoo wrote the great pee review, which helped mucho, and which I also just read again and laughed and laughed and laughed. Thanks for doing that to me twice in a row with the same review.Aleister 00:36 18-5-'11

  1. Against. Sorry Al but I don't see this as a feature. Just seems a bit disjointed and appears to combine half a dozen ideas but none of them (in my view) on speaking terms. Sorry. Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 15:57, May 18, 2011 (UTC)
Jeez, never say sorry. You view is well worth any vote. The article actually contains only one idea, an encyclopedic entry on the largest known sea bird. The Spear's flight pattern sometimes takes it near France, which it uses for guidance and wind speed. Aleister 20:46 18-5-'11
  2. Against Firstly, it just doesn't come off as encyclopedic (which, of course, isn't really a problem in itself). The way it's written seems to be the author winking at the reader the entire time, but this reader just didn't understand. Second, it definitely is disjointed. The paragraphs seem to have only a very tangential relationship to each other.~~ Sir Ljlego, GUN  [talk] 20:44, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Symbol against vote.svg Against. Too "lol random" for me, not enough continuity or overly clear jokes. I can't tell the difference between a song reference and the author dumping word salad onto the page. And that's a bad thing.  Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize  writings  SU&W) 21:01 May 19, 2011
There is no song reference. There is winking, and word salad, which is a tasty thing. The Spear can never keep to itself, and keeps butting in on other birds' private moments. Aleister 14:15 20-5-'11
  4. I like a lot of the pieces, but... yeah, they just seem jumbled, currently. Usually encyclopedias present their contents in more of an order within their sections, I think.

Comments:
  • To give muse credit where muse credit is due, this page was inadvertantly inspired by Hyperbole, in a story too long to tell in mixed company. Aleister 20:57 16-5-'11
  • Comment. I am guessing I am missing something here as this article is very strange. Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 21:44, May 16, 2011 (UTC)
    • You miss nothing, Obi Wan. The article is an encyclopedic page about a large bird native to Great Britain. Apparantly this premise alone evokes much of the page's satire (see the pee review, which gave me my biggest laughs of the month). The Spear also has smaller feathers, most of which are stand-alone framable. Aleister 16:34 17-5-'11
