There's a problem with abuse filter histories. Every change listed on Special:AbuseFilter/history from June 2015 and earlier is misattributed. They're attributed to the users Yohankuntz, Leidy, Davewbriggs, Ian Gilman, Yautja, Ds2adm and Al200002, who have no user and talk pages and no edits or advanced permissions here. Given the timing it's most likely due to the user database merge -- these would be the global accounts whose user IDs matched the IDs of the corresponding local accounts.

Special:Log/abusefilter, meanwhile, has the correct attribution. From this we can see that Yohankuntz is Spike, Leidy is Furry, Davewbriggs is Frosty, Ian Gilman is Lyrithya, Yautja is Sockpuppet of an unregistered user, Ds2adm is RAHB, and Al200002 is Zombiebaron. The last three names were also mentioned on Forum:This is awkward..., a post about a sitewide version of this that occurred in 2012.

Is there anything we can have done about this? I don't think anyone other than me has been doing anything with abuse filters lately, but it does make it confusing to read the histories. There are only 7 accounts and 195 changes involved, so fixing it shouldn't be too time-consuming for those with access (not that I know). ❦ Llwy-ar-lawr talkcontribs • 22:31 2 November 2018

No solution here, except now we have a record of this. The merge explains why the Abuse filter, a user, had to have a name change from Un-Abuse filter, without any apparent reason for the name change. Linked the user talk page to this one. --Nigel Scribbler sig2.png (talk) 08:04, November 26, 2018 (UTC)

Isn’t this more of a problem for Wikia staff? --NightmareofEden (talk) 16:11, November 26, 2018 (UTC)
