So, I was going to use ul.special li a[title="User:Splaka"] { font-color: green } to hilight my nick in green in recent changes, but then I decided to hilight all sysops in this way to make it easier for me to ignore their edits (nobody cares what they do). Then I thought, other people might like this! So I was going to make a MediaWiki:Sysops.css and have a css list there with modifications, but, I guess you can't double @import css style sheets (anyone know how?). So, being adaptive, I added the list to MediaWiki:Common.css but only made it { font-weight: bold }. I'd like to change the color, or make the font larger maybe (maybe not), or add an image to the right (like an asterisk or crown or something, or a skull?) but not without consensus. Also, my css is a bit rusty, if anyone knows a way to actually have it importable on an imported user css (without javascript, I'd like to keep this 'hack' clean), let yourself be heard.

Some options:

Thoughts? --Splaka 03:25, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Hmmm... the "Spang" one is pretty good... HOMESTAR ME!!! TURTLE ME!!! t o m p k i n s  blah. ﺞوﻦ וףה ՃՄ ண்ஸ ފއހ วอฏม +տ trade websites 03:30, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Bold is enough. Let's not get too fancy here. --Algorithm 03:35, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
The Spang on the larcetal vortex above the third Spang shows "obey me". It's perfect --Hopemc.jpgBlackcard.jpgLightningdragonmc.jpgBluecard.jpgGreencard.jpgArtifactcard.jpgCrowley098 03:38, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
How about changing the color to something understated. The point is to make admin edits less noticable, right? ---Quill.gifRev. Isra (talk) 04:29, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Like that? Although, if the nick is more noticable, I think the line is therefor more ignorable. Maybe? --Splaka 04:36, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
It was said that everybody has a bit of autism in them, so if it is less noticable then some people might be more inclined to try and see who it is, so yeah, bold is the best font to use for that. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 07:40, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

BTW, you could use some extra buttons too. In Spanish uncy in my monobook.js I have buttons to add the equivalents of {{wellcome}}, {{stub}}, {{NRV}} and such, a box that adds categories, etc. I find it very usefull and comfortable. You should make one for the admins here aswell.--Rataube 10:33, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Some admins here do have uncyclopedia.js set to something customised on a per-user basis (as anyone can create a subpage of their own user page for .css and another for .js). The buttons would be 'ban', 'ban', 'nrv', 'purge', 'hunt down to the ends of the Earth...' --Carlb 12:45, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

I like the crown, but can I have one there, too?... Crown.gifHis Royal Majesty, Simulacrum Caputosis the GreatCrown.gif13:02, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

That's a crown? I thought it was a mouse! -- sannse<staff/> (talk) 16:24, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
A mouse? ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 16:26, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, a little yellow mouse with red ears -- sannse<staff/> (talk) 17:00, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Surrounding a King's title? MICE SURROUNDING A KING'S TITLE??? This is one of my reasons for thinking that people are insane...mice surrounding a King's title my god...
Anyway, back to the point... can SimalicrumCaputosis have a crown next to is name? Only if I can get an NRV button at the top of the big white edit box. So probably no. Inless you're an admin in which yes. But you're not. So no. Hm.

You can, you just have to customize User:Ghelae/uncyclopedia.js--Rataube 21:05, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Ghae, just borrow my uncyclopedia.js file (User:Hinoa4/uncyclopedia.js). Or Keitei's. Or virtually everyone else who has a custom JS file--we all stole it from either Volte or Splaka. —Hinoa KUN (talk) 21:28, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, done, purged, refreshed, then what? ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 07:56, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Are you using Internet Explorer? Because that pretty much sucks at javascript and css. And I know it breaks my js and css. Spang talk 08:01, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Yes. Hm. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 08:02, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
In that case, I hate to say it, but it's probably time you made the change. :) Firefox and Opera usually run js and css perfectly. Spang talk 08:06, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
What the heck just happened to your sig? --Splaka 08:08, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Oh, should be {{SUBST:nosubst|User:Spang/Sig}}, fixing (you had {{SUBST:nosubst:User:Spang/Sig}}) --Splaka 08:09, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, as I wrote before you edit conflicted me twice, you bastard: Um, I put a : instead of a | in the sig preferences. On purpose. Spang talk 08:12, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Sucks to be you ^_^. However, you coulda at least done it classy: --{{User:Splaka/sig}} 08:34, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Hey, I can do classy when I feel like it :P --Spang loves users! Praise!
Just an FYI: Anyone can customize their uncyclopedia.css to hilight (or understate) a list of users (just for them) in the recent changes. Just put this in (for example) User:SimulacrumCaputosis/uncyclopedia.css:
ul.special li a[title="User:Splaka"],
ul.special li a[title="User:SimulacrumCaputosis"] { font-weight: bold; background: url(images/thumb/d/d5/Crown.gif/16px-Crown.gif) center left no-repeat; padding-left: 18px; }
Or, even do it for most links on the site (remove ul.special li). --Splaka 01:46, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Much like the l'il yellow star on the featured link to you have two cows from fr:vous avez deux vaches is a .js trick? --Carlb 02:07, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Better to use css for that. As there is no common.js the javascripts can only be implemented on a per-skin basis (we do single-page logo changes and reskins with it because it can't be done with just css, sadly) --Splaka 02:31, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Nerd: I've fixed up your personal css with that. Enjoy ^_^. --Splaka 02:43, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
