Nish Kumar (right) has been somewhat successful in attaching his comedy profile to that of Andy Zaltzman (centre)

Bufoonish "Nish" Kumar (born August 26, 1985) is a British stand-up comedian, actor, radio presenter, giggler, sniggerer and chortler. He has appeared on numerous television shows such as Have I Got News For You, Mock The Week, Virtually Famous, Not Famous, and Who?. He is of Indian descent but is not a decent Indian (he is neither Indian nor decent).

Early life[edit]

Nish Kumar was born in 1985 in Wandsworth. Growing up, Nish devised a far-fetched scheme to eventually become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom using the power of stand-up comedy, satirical online encyclopedias and subliminal messaging (Vote Nish Kumar).

(Vote) Nish Kumar's stand-up career began in 2012 with his show Who is Nish Kumar? at the Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Festival. His perseverance has led to many more shows including Nish Kumar Is A Comedian in 2013, Don't You Know Who I Am? in 2014, Hey, It's Me Again! ...Nish Kumar? Remember Me From Last Year? in 2015, No, This Isn't My First Time Doing Stand-up in 2016, It Funnier On The Telly in August 2017 and most recently Free Comedy Show With Some Bloke at the Wandsworth Prison Stand-in Stand-up Balls-up.

Alternative career as podcast also-ran[edit]

Following John Oliver's abandonment of his friends and fans in the United Kingdom to focus on much more easily amused audiences in the United States, Nish Kumar bravely stepped into the space John vacated in the British Comedy Podcast Industry. Unfortunately for Nish, many other desperate comedians also tried to insert themselves into the admittedly narrow gap between Andy Zaltzman and Producer Chris in the basement of the Zaltzman family home. This has resulted in occasional slots on the famed weekly podcast The Bugle. Thus far Nish has secured repeat invites by laughing hysterically at anything and everything his hosts or co-hosts say or do not say on the podcast or not on the podcast.

Recent attempts to boost fame[edit]

Nish Kumar (he'd be at least as good as Theresa May...) recently "discovered" that his two young cousins had "of their own volition" made him a Wikipedia page. Unfortunately, Wikipedia insists on the "truth" and all of Nish's more impressive achievements were deleted as a result.

Vote Nish Kumar.
