Yes, Delaware is boring, but still[edit]

This person acts like there is no one in Delaware. Let me tell you something, Delaware is way too crowded. Look at a population density map, i mean Jebus. There are a crapload of rich people here too because Delaware is so industrialized.

OK. You want me to tell you what is really wrong with this article? Fine! This is Uncyclopedia, alright? And I supposed there is a reason for that name. Do you know what impression I got when I first saw your article? I though I was reading a blog. I know - you are trying to tell people how small and pathetic Delaware is from a first person point of veiw - and I think that is fare enough, but not here at Uncyclopedia.org. Think about it - if people starts writing every article in this style, what will eventually happen to the entire website? There is one thing definitely missing in the article - a right peg of the right shape for the hole.
If someone sees this article differently and have nominated it for VFH, that's fine, but if it is why you went to my talk page and hurled rotten eggs at me, then I shall say, "you are truly lifeless."

If I may weigh in here with another opinion, I think the that "Un" in "Uncyclopedia" implies that parody is welcome, and Wikipedia themselves mention this use of first person as a valid tool in the Uncyc armory of parodial weaponary. In the case of this particular article, I believe that the subjective approach fits the subject perfectly, because it uses the existential predicament of a person describing their environment to bring out something universal about our relationship to very dull places and the absurd ways we try to find meaning in them. This is a topic ripe for pure comedy and one that is rarely seen done here. The writing, the approach and the overall style are extremely well done in my opinion.
Colonel Swordman lists a series of reasons for his lack of admiration for the article over on VFH, implying that a basic confusion about and ignorance of the subject matter are motivation. All I can say to that is that, even though I've never heard of Delaware and never been to the US, it took me about 0.000000001 of a second to get the idea, and I didn't even have to write anything down. So I guess it's all subjective in the end - which is kind of the point. --Sir Hardwick Fundlebuggy (Bleat) 17:47, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
If the whole joke is that there is only one person in Delaware? For once, maybe the first-person actually does fit here. --Carlb 21:25, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Delaware is the most evil state ever

This is funny, but...[edit]

What if we want an article that's something besides this entry, like other states have? I get the humor here, but I think this would be better as some kind of alternate page, or just a section of a larger one. Scba 02:59, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Why? What is listed here is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth... ya commie. Ж Kalir potentially sexier than you 03:29, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Sure, but there's plenty more to rip on that just doesn't fit in with the format. Maybe I'll start a Facts page off of this one. Scba 15:34, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

the first state[edit]

I do nit doubt thot stutement, büt it is möre interesting if other Americans envy thom for it. If so, why is Delaware a tox huven. Why do they have dofferent bonking rolls than the other of the Un-knitted Stutes? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.134.28.194 (talk • contribs)
