Whatever happened to the Ambiguation template? I liked it more. Did people complain that it was too ambiguous? --Lenoxus 19:16, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Hey Spang - why the deadend2 template? Surely if a disambiguation page is a dead end, we want to know about it? I'll leave it for now in case someone has a good answer I hadn't thought of. --Strange.PNG (but) Untrue  Whhhy?Whut? How? *Back from the dead* 08:13, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

The dummy text is useless[edit]

It's why I undid Un-MadMax's edit to add dummy text. Disambiguation pages still show up on Special:ShortPages because (as described in wikipedia:Help:Page information#Basic information) the system only looks at page bytes without transclusion.

Simpler and more elegant than dummy text is to fix relevant bug T53124 by installing mw:Extension:Disambiguator and including __DISAMBIG__ in the template instead. Though it's not exactly a priority. Dark Web, White Hat (talk) 11:16, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
