Would it be ok if I put the picture at the top of its cell, then? It looks weird in the center. ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-us.pngMon, Jun 4 '12 12:21 (UTC)

Keep in mind there is a wide variety of screen sizes, and users with local CSS rules like me. But your change seems OK; it would look neater if the top of the photo aligned with the top color stripe as opposed to being in a vertical position that to some people will look random. Ok, here goes nuttin', then. ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-us.pngMon, Jun 4 '12 12:58 (UTC)

Content[edit]

I believe adding a lot of extra stuff to this template (like the millions of religions, cultures, languages, etc. will add to the humor of India being an oversized, overpopulated country that has fucking everything under the sun. That being said, it would be nice to have a "Hide" option for this template. I'm sure also that as more Indians find out about this site, they will add a lot more content. That would eventually lead to a large template (example: Template:Russia) which could then branch off into smaller, more manageable templates (example: Template:Leaders of Mother Russia). Religions, culture, languages[edit]

I think it will be good to add anything that has a very large, significant influence in India even if the articles themselves are not Indian in nature. For example, Islam is the second largest religion in India and India has the second largest Muslim population in the world, so Islam can be included even if the article on Islam doesn't have India-related jokes. That is a useful statement of intent. However, as I have rebutted on your talk page, I think the purpose of a navigation template like this is to recommend to the reader other articles that have useful additional information on India, not to present an accurate representation of India, or communicate your personal feelings about India. Islam, Christianity, and Allah are not useful other articles on India. And (referring back to Content above), I would not care to see this template become awkwardly large--even by way of telling a joke about the awkward largeness of India that the reader will not get. We should put foremost maximum utility to the reader. Spıke Ѧ 18:29 10-Jan-13
I think Spike speaks with the tongue of a hindu, and thus can be trusted. Christianity and Islam are world religions, and can be included on every template (including Discordian American Princesses). India is the birthplace in its honoring of the many armed goddess of the hindi and the cow spirit of Buddhism, and even Zoroaster can chow down on curry with the best of them. And the template is quite large, like a boat sailing onto the bottom of the page, so maybe a shortened section or two would serve the monkey god the best. Thanks. Aleister 13:11 25-2-'13
