From Pee Review[edit]

I am thinking about nominating this article for VFH, but I just read that self-nominees MUST be on Pee Review for at least one week before that can happen. And unless somebody wants to noiminate UnNews:Holy Crap! Peter Boyle dies at 71 for me, what can I do to improve the article? I'm not sure I should add any more "Holy Craps!" although they are the hallmark of the whole article, parodying Peter Boyle's overuse of the catchphrase, "Holy Crap!" So far, I think the repetition, the repetition, and the overuse of "Holy Crap!" makes this article funny, and it is still funny without them, but not as funny. Whatever you can come up with is greatly appreciated, so long as it is funny and not just stupid. Thanks. PF4Eva 23:32, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

I added some more stuff and added this under Pee Review, so hopefully somebody sees it soon and offers their suggestions. I think this article is looking great so far, but every little improvement will better this article's chances of being featured soon; the more pee, the merrier. PF4Eva 23:27, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Still no response? I worked very hard on this article, and other users added great stuff to it, too. I guess this means that this article needs no more improvements and can happily be nominated for VFH once it officially makes it past the one-week mark. I still have a few hours left before the article is eligible. PF4Eva 21:49, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

This falls into the category of those "one joke\gimmick" articles which generally don't fare too well on VFH. And it's not really funny either (at least in my opinion). As for formatting, it's too cluttered with those random boxes and quotes, and the picture isn't really funny either. Sorry to be so harsh, but that's my opinion. --Composure1 00:16, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

I agree with Composure, I'm afraid. I understand the concept but gosh...repeating the Boyle character's trademark phrase isn't enough to carry an article of this length. I'd expect a two-paragraph article to be about the max for a "holy crap" joke. That said, aside from some typos the piece is well-written. ----OEJ 15:52, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
