There are several ways to go about parodying a singer, actor, or other kind of performance artist. One is to mock them playfully (Eric Idle), another is to idolize them (fancruft), and another is to be an asshole about it.
That last path is the one this article takes.
To me this article comes across as vicious and mean-spirited. The jokes are well-told but nasty. It gives me the feeling that the author hates Winehouse's music and wants to insult her as much as he can. HATE HATE HAT does not make an entertaining article. Now, I am not familiar with Winehouse but I had a quick listen to her song You Know I'm No Good on YouTube and it is solid, professional-quality music. It deserves better than this article delivers.
Caveat: I am writing here about my reaction as a reader to the article. I do not know what the author actually intended; all I can possibly know is what I thought and felt as I read the piece. So take all this with a grain of salt and/or a dose of Ibuprofen. ----OEJ 15:41, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
