Noun[edit]

Disambiguation (plural Disambiguations)

  1. Ebonics for "This Ambiguation". It is a completely made up word and did not exist before Wikipedia invented it to confuse people. When something is in doubt it is said to be ambiguous. The opposite would be to clarify or clarification. In cases where multiple Wikipedia entries might have a similar spelling or pronounciation, Wikipedia could have simply sorted them under the title Clarification. But no, no, no, Wikipedia had to invent a new word to further confuse people. Instead of using a common word that everyone understands like clarification, or a similar English word that anyone could look up in a dictionary, a word was cleverly borrowed from Ebonics, a language that has no written dictionary because none of its adherents can read. Hence Disambiguation- "This confusion".
