Former discussion on the VFD ballot[edit]

If I were to re-write this, I have two ideas, but unsure which one is funnier;

  1. A barcode is the number given to a bar by the government to identify it
  2. (use {{title|Bearcode}}) Bearcode is a list of rules and ethics that all species of bear use to live by

I moved this here; talk pages are to discuss how to make the article funnier; VFD is to discuss whether to kill it dead.
Your first idea is a pretty mechanical pun, whereas the second, arbitrarily converting "bar" to "bear", is a stretch. If you took the best of both, and wrote about rules and ethics of taverns, it might evolve into a good discussion of awful tavern behavior. Spıke 🎙️01:54 19-Apr-22

Further discussion from User talk:OnePunch[edit]

Your idea of combining the two was my first idea to make it about the rules in a bar, but I thought that was a too obvious of joke, but I guess simple is better. I might not rewrite it soonish (as I am busy; which you could probably tell from my low edit count the past week and a bit), so delete it when you want and I'll just recreate the page. Reincarnation[edit]

Here, I started this for you. Spıke 🎙️12:24 25-Apr-22

"Those who cannot count" including the article writer, now I get it. Sometimes an error merely looks like an error. Spıke 🎙️10:26 26-Apr-22

Get your hands off my date![edit]

This I don't like; lengthy quotation of the Bar Code, all in italics, ugh! If you must style it as a literal quotation, it should be a graphic — but you oughtn't; your reader is reading a cracked description and asking him to believe there is also cracked legislation is a chance to lose him. I suggest you describe and not quote. Spıke 🎙️18:55 26-Apr-22
