  1. For. A tribute if Nelson M goes before the weekend. Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 16:45, June 11, 2013 (UTC)

  3. For. Eh, I guess so, but I had to remove some YT links, so take this vote with a grain of salt. -- The Shield of Azunai DSA510My Edits! 18:33, June 11, 2013 (UTC)

  7. Symbol for vote.svg For. He's dead Jim. Well, maybe, but he may survive to lead the nation again. If there was a video of any creature named Bush I'm glad it was removed. Mandela's memory ("I'm not dead yet, asshole" - Nelson Mandela) does not need any Bush's mucking it up. Aleister 15:24 18-6-'13

  9. Symbol for vote.svg For. It'd be good to, if possible, hold this back until he does actually go. Or, at least re-feature it on the day. Sir Reverend P. Pennyfeather (fancy a chat?) CUN VFH PLS 23:34, July 5, 2013 (UTC)

  • Comment. What's the problem with YouTube links? Isn't the Bush stuff funnier with the video? Leverage (talk) 19:51, June 11, 2013 (UTC)
Comment The introduction and the beginning are fine but later on the article's only humor is to contradict history. Anton (talk) 18:37, July 3, 2013 (UTC)
I really don't like the first quote. I know it is real but can't we just delete the first sentence and leave out: "I dunno, you lend some people a fiver and you never see them again". The joke will be a bit less explicit and even funnier. Anton (talk) 11:33, July 4, 2013 (UTC)
  • I didn't respond to this before because I thought I explained in the revert. The problem with making the initial quote less explicit is because it's a mythical quote from 1980s alternative comedy, so 1) it would be a bit like quoting bill hicks but taking out a swear and 2) the shock-laugh it got was because of the juxtaposition of Mandela (whose stock as a symbol of resistance against racism and oppression was arguably at an all-time high) with the strongest non-racist swear in the language. Finally, the basic joke of the article is that it is the biography of Mandela as a "cunt" - a reference to all those revisionists who problematise his saintly status given his one-time terrorist links - but taken to a ridiculous level. It is not, as suggested above, simply opposite-land. Leverage (talk) 11:07, July 6, 2013 (UTC)
Ok, thank you! I actually did not understand the joke completely before. Anton (talk) 11:14, July 6, 2013 (UTC)
  • Comment. That's cool! I think most long articles are likely to have jokes/wikipedia sporks that most readers miss. Thanks for your constructive comments, I can see what you want is that the articles are as good as possible. Leverage (talk) 12:00, July 6, 2013 (UTC)
