I read the article and I would like it to stay: Excellent writing, and its playful and funny approach to both the sport and to the "ginger species" is evident even to this non-fan (non-fan of footie, not non-fan of the Irish). The very beginning is a textbook case of how not to do unattributed initial quotations. Nestled inside is a serious complaint about deceptive advertising, though the conclusion is funny and should be saved. (Have now copied this into the replacement article.)
